Greetings Gamers. This is Mewkow, your guide in treating a common gamer condition called Altitis.

With 7.3 on it’s way, it’s time to…focus.
Details shared about patch 7.3 are shedding light on how alt friendly this patch will be.
In fact, you may be best served by focusing on your main characters for now.
Any characters you have above artifact knowledge 41 are the only ones that will benefit from Artifact Power grinding.
Any characters below artifact knowledge 41 will be automatically caught up to that level once the patch hits.
Any alts without all 3 slots open on their artifact weapons will find them unlocked at the same time.
Argus will also produce a new currency for catchup equipment, so grinding nethershards on alts will be fruitless at this point.
On top of all this, you only need to unlock the coming Argus content once on your main character, so all your alts can dive in right after.
This is one of those rare times that an active case of Altitis might waste more time than we’d like.

Has your level grind gotten stale? Let’s Legion it up.
While the current timing of the Broken Isles Legion invasions is rather inconvenient, it is something to look forward to for alt leveling.
Six hours is plenty of time to finish these world quests, but the time until the next invasion will likely place it at an odd time of day.
Like a sneak peek of world quests to come at level 110, any alt leveling 100 to 110 can participate in these varied quests.
In addition to the experience granted for finishing each quest, many of them will also include an experience bonus.
Finishing every available invasion quest will often net you about a level’s worth of experience.
I do recommend you have Broken Isles flying for this however, as hoofing it will make this rather tedious.

Having trouble finding those legendaries? Let’s game the system.
As of Patch 7.2 in Legion, the anti bad luck code for getting legendaries has been tweaked a bit.
The chance of getting that shiny orange texted treasure is now calculated on a per spec basis.
If your main spec seems tapped out on legendary luck, try setting your loot specialization to an off spec.
Of course, this works best if you already have the gear you want for your main spec, and off spec is gear compatible with your main spec.
Then again, maybe getting a shiny new legendary for your off spec might just lead you down a new main spec path of fun and excitement.

Are your alts artifact power feeling a bit on the low side? Let’s try giving it a boost.
For those that have been focusing on a main character this expansion, your Artifact Power is probably pretty high due to Artifact Knowledge gains.
It’s that fun multiplier that makes the Artifact Power you find in the game go much further than before.
On your new alts however, you’re back down to what seems like grains of sand trying to fill a whole beach.
Your main character can share at least a bit of the Artifact Knowledge they’ve learned, though.
If you check the merchant section of your Artifact Researcher, you can purchase a catch up book that is at most 5 levels below your main character’s Artifact Knowledge level.
Once you use this catch up book, your alts only need to earn the last few levels on their own and they will be at equal footing.
Before you know it, all members of your max level Alt Army will feel just as powerful as your main, and ready to take on the new content.

Now that we’re all settled in Legion, it’s time for our alts.
More than likely, you’ve been focusing on a main character up until now, due to how Legion has been designed.
You are more likely to spend time working on your alternate class specs, rather than alts, due to how your artifacts work.
However, with 7.1.5 out, and 7.2 coming, it’s time to start waking those alts up from storage.
If you haven’t already done so, it is highly recommended that you log each one of them in.
In order to accrue that useful rested experience buff, you need to have logged into them after Legion’s start.
In time, you should have a fully charged rested experience pool to get going on your latest Alt adventure.
