Greetings Gamers. This is Mewkow, your guide in treating a common gamer condition called Altitis.
Before even the nuts and bolts can be crafted, we need to…gather.
Unless you are the wealthy type, all crafting professions need some source of materials to build with.
You have a choice of Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning to feed most of the hungry main crafting professions.
Engineers, Blacksmiths, and Jewelcrafters are the primary clients of miners.
Alchemy, and Inscription need herbs and lots of them, leaving Tailoring and Enchanting to fend for themselves alone.
And of course Leatherworking needs the leather from Skinning the beasts you come across.
All crafting professions have an occasional need of unaligned materials, but not enough to be a real focus.
Any of the gathering professions can also be used to simply make money off of what you find by putting it up on the auction house.
With a little bit of added experience gained from mining and herbalism nodes, it’s not a bad idea to focus on these as you level a new alt.
And of course, any alt wouldn’t mind being a bit wealthier if you decide to ‘dual wield’ your gathering.
If you have questions, tips, or want to discuss a topic further, find us on twitter at @altitisnet, and show notes can be found on our website, altitis.net
On behalf of the Alt Army, we hope you find this information useful in the treatment of your Altitis.
