Greetings Gamers. This is Mewkow, a resident expert on a common gamer condition called Altitis.
So, you’ve decided it is time to give in to that alt itch. Welcome.
Perhaps you are approaching a brand new game, or it is time to give your main a breather and see what the game has to offer those of our… persuasion.
Most games have a tutorial, or starter area, that begins your journey in the game.
This area is often ‘on rails’ and is designed to give you a taste of your new race, or class, and typically the game itself.
I recommend trying as many of these starter areas as you can, and not to give up too quickly on your new character.
You may find a new favorite alt with this method, and for those of us dealing with Altitis, we’ll probably end up using these characters eventually, even if they don’t shine right away.
In many games, some of the best design and game lore happens to live in these starter areas, and it would be a shame to miss out on good content.
And, even if you aren’t currently enjoying the altoholic lifestyle, this method just might help it spread to you as well.
If you have questions, tips, or want to discuss a topic further, find us on twitter at @altitisnet, and show notes can be found on altitis.net
On behalf of the Alt Army, we hope you find this information useful in the treatment of your Altitis.
